SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Check that your articles, condensed thesis, and dissertation comply with the submission and Style Guide below.
  1. Scholarly articles of between 12,000 – 15,000 words (excluding footnotes), Case Notes of 8,000-10,000 words (excluding footnotes), and book reviews of 4,000 – 5,000 words (excluding footnotes) will be accepted for the peer-reviewed process.
  1. To be accepted for peer review, the author(s) must submit a condensed version of their LLM thesis and DCL dissertation(s) that is between 20,000 to 25,000 words (excluding footnotes).
  1. Contributions that have already been published in abbreviated or slightly similar form in other journals or are being considered for publication in a prior issue of this Journal or other Journal(s) will not be considered.
  1. Authors are also responsible for securing the permission of concerned institutions and individuals who may have any claim on copyrighted materials such as photos and excerpts from primary documents.
  1. Each submission shall be subjected to a plagiarism check. Authors submitting should acknowledge the originality of the submission.  The originality of the submitted paper will be confirmed through a similarity or duplication checker.
  1. All submissions must comply with the American Psychological Association (APA) citation styles.

8.  The submitted article and papers will not be sent for peer review if these do not comply with the following Style Guide:

  1. The submitted article and papers shall be submitted to lawjournal@ust.edu.ph with the following Email Subject LineSURNAME_FIRST NAME_Submission for UST Law Journal’
  1.  Along with the paper, the author must attach the following documents to the email:

    a. Abstract (not more than 250 words)
    b. A Bionote (with picture) consisting of not more than 100 to 150 words and the contact number.  
    c. Curriculum Vitae
